A light house out by Jæren. This isn't your typical Norwegian nature. I guess it sort of reminds me more of something I'd expect to see in Scotland, but beatuiful image never the less.

We don't have much sand dunes or surf in Norway, and out by Jæren is one of the few places we have. This is from a trip this fall. Bad weather was coming in, and the wind blew quite a bit.

Out west by Stavanger, a place called Jæren. Beutiful nature, with some wild weather. The fishermen out here worked hard and played hard. :)

Vettisfossen

The Vettisfossen. Europes largest free fall. It was a little hike to get up there, and we did go further up into the base of the waterfall. It was a bit of a struggle to get there, so when the water flow increased and started to cover some of the rocks we had used to get up there we were suddenly in a hurry to get back.

Summer memory

Brings back memories from our trip out west this summer. This is a waterfall we pass on the way to Vettisfossen. If I remember correctly there is a farm right by the top of the watefall. Warm and sunny day, completely different from what it's like now.

Over Geiranger

Looking down at Geiranger from Dalsnibba. It's 1500m above the sea, but only 30 minutes drive from Geiranger. You can drive all the way up so I guess it's my kind of mountain. ;) It was just one of those days with great light and great photos.

Spring sunset

The fall is here, and the spring seems so far away. Enjoying the sunset, knowing it will only get warmer and warmer. The hope of spring. Only another 8-9 months till next time. ;)

The trek from Årdal to Vettisfossen was a really nice one, and this is the view looking back down the valley at the end of the tractor road. From here on it's just a narrow track down by the river leading up to the waterfall.

Floating in Geiranger

A view just when entering the Geiranger fjord. A beautiful place, with a lot of cultural heritage. The people that used to live there must have been some real bad asses, because life out there during the winter must have been hard. It's probably safe to say that they weren't first on the list to choose their farms here in Norway.

This is actually one of the most intriguing photos I have ever taken. It just appealed to me right away when I saw it on my monitor, and I only did minor adjustments. It's of a waterfall in the Geiranger fjord. I don't quite remember but I think it's from the lower part of a collection of waterfalls that's called the seven sisters.

From our trip out west in Norway this summer. It's at a waterfall along the Flåm railway, where the train stops for five minutes to let the tourists do their snapshots. An excellent trip.

Freedom memorial

The freedom memorial in the centre of Riga. It was set up some time around 1930 I think, and was a pain in the butt for the Soviets when they later occupied Latvia for about 50 years. The KGB would make damn sure you would loose everything if you were stupid enough to lay down some flowers there. The three stars represent the three original regions, I think there are four now.

Feeding the birds

Being that Oslo is a relatively small city it doesn't take long to get out into the woods. This shot is from a sunday walk me and my girlfriend did around Sognsvann. Some children was playing, feeding the birds down by the water and I shot them as we sat down for a little while.

I really enjoyed San Fransisco when I was over there. When we got lost in Tenderloin wasn't too pleasant, but the rest was excellent. This is from the bike ride we did from Fishermans Wharf and over to Saucalito. Excellent experience.

This is actually the building I have been working in for the last year. It's an old cotton mill situated over the Alna river. It's a really nice area, and during the summer and spring I enjoy walking home.

Changing neighbourhood

There is a lot of building activity in my neighbourhood. What used to be one of the worst parts of Oslo is transforming and getting new apartments as well as shopping malls. I have been thinking I should probably try to document much of it, in 5 or 10 years time it will look completely different.

From the new subway station in Oslo at Nydalen. It's gotten rave reviews, and it really is something different. Nice clean lines and interesting architecture.

This is a monument down at Cottesloe beach in Perth. I don't actually remember the details now, but I think it was some sort of Aboriginal monument. Had some great days down there. With the shitty summer in Norway here I could really use some heat.

Down in Tasmania there's this place called Cradle Mountain, and this is a view the other way on the track to Cradle Mountiain. I think the lookout is called Margarets point. If you continue to the top of Cradle Mountain and past it you head into the national park and the rainforest. It's supposed to be a really good trek down to the south of Tasmania.

Another one from my trip to London in march. Went out shooting with Thomas and got some pretty good shots of the eye from St. James Park. Out hotel Jolly St. Ermins was just around the corner from it. Good location, but I won't be staying in that hotel next time around. Way too expensive compared to what you get.

Went to the Qcon conference in London in march. First time I really got to see London, the other times I had just been in and out to see some soccer mathces. Had a really great time, and was really lucky with the weather. Loved it, and going back. :)

The ramp for disabled people down at the beach in Rekkevik. It's too early for the part that runs into the water to be out. For the first time in years I went down there during easter, and it was just perfect. I am way too nostalgic about that place, but it is the best place I can be to relax.
